What I’ve learned from traveling to 45 countries
5 Things I’ve learned from living in and traveling to 45 countries
1) Travel can be scary. You’re going from the known to the unknown. But it gets a lot easier as you realize that you can and will find community wherever you go.
2) The world is safer than you expect. Bad things and ill-intended people are everywhere, but for the most part people share similar values of safety, respect, and friendliness.
3) Hostels and co-Livings are underrated.
4) It’s okay to do tourist things, but you should also just explore and get a bit lost. You never know what experiences and connections you’ll find.
5) Travel won’t solve all your problems, but going beyond your comfort will force you beyond some of them.
Note: I made a video a while ago about tips for solo-travel. It’s a good resource if that’s something you’re interested in.
Here’s a video from our exploration of Pisac this past week. Incredible views.
