Nationalism is Stupid

Maybe it comes from me living in 3 different countries, the UK, Iran, and the US; but standing in front of a national anthem has always churned my stomach. I can attest there are great and not so great people everywhere. That’s why I guess war is also kind of stupid. We’re just killing people for having a different flag, or faith or ethnicity. Let’s stop being stupid. Your country isn’t great, but you probably have some great people in it and if you want to be one of them maybe focus on great things like peace and compassion.

This a little thing I wrote that I’d like to make a short video from, but for now I’ll just share it with you. I’m still at Vipassana course and I scheduled this ahead of time.
