This week's newsletter was scheduled in advance because right now I am actually completely offline, sitting in a Vipassana meditation course. So, I figured I'd share with you one of my greatest learnings from my practice: Cause and Effect.

That time I meditated too close to a waterfall - Yosemite National Park, May 2018

It's the understanding that where I am, how I am, and who I am now is a result of my past habits, choices, behavior, and experiences. This is a really powerful thing to reflect on, because although our experiences are somewhat out of our control, we have a lot to say over our actions. And although change is difficult, it's powerful to recognize that even small shifts over the long run can lead us to very different destinations.

I know for certain I am in a wildly better situation now than I was a decade ago, and I'm confident that continuing to be conscious of my habits, choices, and behavior will result in an even better (happier) future.

If you're interested in Vipassana meditation, I highly encourage you to look into it. Courses are free (donation-based) and available worldwide.

Feel free to reply with any thoughts or questions, and I'll get back to you when I'm back.

Best wishes,

Naser
