Break Down the Steps
When I think about the major barriers I and those around me often face in pursuing our goals, it usually down to staying on course. And in my mind that comes down to three things, setting the course (being clear on the goal), second being clear on the necessary steps, and third taking those steps week after week and day after day.
When I think of where I’ve fallen short, it’s in adherence to those smaller steps I haven’t been clear on, I haven’t given priority to. I get blinded by the big goal but overlook the little ones along the way. I’m working on that now; setting a clear agenda for each day that in the long run will get me nearer to my bigger goal. The weekly habits, the repetitions, writing, editing, outreach, connections; when done once or twice lack significance, but when piled upon as part of a larger plan hold tremendous purpose and grow in momentum. It’s dedication to the weekly, the daily, that brings growth.
Saying it is the easy part (a necessary part) but the much harder part is the weekly and daily follow through. Still when we really understand the purpose and what’s necessary the path forward gain focus and greater ease.
Wishing you momentum in building your daily,
Naser
